Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with primary school children or NVQ 2 in teaching assistance
• Experience with children with communication and interaction difficulties
• Experience delivering interventions
• Knowledge about ASD and supporting children with a diagnosis
• Good understanding of behaviour and managing challenging episodes
• Understanding of sensory processing difficulties and strategies

Responsibilities

• Support children’s development across physical, emotional, social, communication and intellectual development needs
• Help keep children safe, including safeguarding and maintaining a safe environment
• Contribute to positive relationships with children and adults through communication and interaction
• Support learning across the curriculum
