Job summary

Powys County Council requires a full-time Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Special) to join Brynllywarch Hall School - Brynbach Base in Ystradgynlais. You will support students with challenging behaviours, work in small groups or one-to-one, and may assist with travel arrangements for pupils during and after the school day.

The successful candidate will be DBS checked and registered with the EWC, with a strong commitment to teamwork and student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
• Ability to work with groups of 8–10 students as well as one-to-one support.

Responsibilities

• Support students with challenging behaviours as part of a team.
• Assist with travel arrangements for pupils and claim hours worked.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment at Brynbach Base.

Teaching Assistant - Level 2 (Special)

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a full-time teaching assistant to join our dynamic team and work at Brynbach Satellite Unit based in Ystradgynlais.

You will be a strongly motivated, committed and enthusiastic person who enjoys working as part of a team to support students with challenging behaviours. There is an opportunity to also assist with the travel arrangements for our pupils at the start and end of the school day and you can claim for the hours worked in addition to your salary.

The successful candidate should have:

• Experience of working with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Ability to work with groups of 8 to 10 students as well as one to one.

The successful applicant will be subject to a Powys County Council Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) and registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
