Job summary

The Woodlands School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with autism and related needs. You will join a team of assistants across three sites, with hours Monday to Friday during term time, and participation in swimming sessions as part of the curriculum.

Applicants should have a genuine commitment to supporting children with special educational needs and comply with safeguarding policies. A Full enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Full enhanced DBS check
• Right to work in the UK
• Aged over 18
• Suitable to work with vulnerable children and adults

Responsibilities

• Engage and support students with autism and/or social communication difficulties
• Work as part of a team alongside at least two other teaching assistants
• Work within school policies, including safeguarding and child protection
• Take part in swimming sessions as part of the curriculum
• Be available to work at any of the school's three sites
