Ponthir Church in Wales Primary School

Ponthir Church in Wales Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team. As a school rooted in strong Christian values, we are looking for an individual who will actively support and promote our Christian ethos, placing the wellbeing, dignity and development of every child at the heart of their work.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teaching staff and members of the leadership team to support high-quality learning experiences for all pupils. You will be committed to helping every child achieve their full potential academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually, while being sensitive to the diverse needs of all learners.

Your role will involve supporting individuals and groups of pupils to enable them to access learning effectively, assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, and contributing to the positive management of pupils within the classroom and the wider school environment. You will play an important role in fostering a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment where children are encouraged to thrive.

We are seeking someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a positive and flexible approach, and a genuine commitment to the care, wellbeing and development of all pupils. The successful candidate will share our ambition to maintain the high standards recognised in our recent successful Estyn inspection and will contribute positively to the school's ongoing journey of improvement and excellence.
