Job summary

The Bridge Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers and work with individual pupils and small groups, emphasising learners with special educational needs. This fixed-term post includes an SEN allowance reflecting the extra responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be patient, empathetic, and capable of building strong relationships with pupils, families and staff, while promoting inclusion and wellbeing throughout the learning day.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience at that level.
• Experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting.

Job description

The Bridge Academy has a fixed-term Teaching Assistant post running until 31 July 2027, suited to Level 2 or Level 3 holders or those with equivalent experience. The role centres on supporting teachers and working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning, build key skills and support wellbeing. What sets it apart is its focus on pupils with special educational needs, with an SEN allowance attached to reflect the extra responsibilities. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the post starts in January 2027 or sooner.
