Job summary

Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Level 2 at Thrybergh Primary School. The role supports the class teacher, assists in delivering learning activities, and helps maintain a safe, well-organised classroom environment.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) and contribute to both academic support and pastoral care in a term-time role with inset days.

Qualifications

• Must hold an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Learning Support: Deliver structured teaching programmes and assist the class teacher with learning activities for individuals and small groups.
• Monitoring & Assessment: Monitor pupil progress and provide detailed feedback to the teacher; assist with routine marking and record-keeping.
• Environment & Admin: Maintain an organised learning environment; manage resources and complete clerical duties including display work; ensure Health and Safety compliance.
• Pastoral & Behaviour: Support classroom management and provide pastoral care, including EHCPs for students with specific needs.
