Job summary

The Gainsborough Academy within Wickersley Partnership Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our supportive classroom team. You will assist the class teacher, prepare resources, and help create a safe, engaging environment for students to learn and grow.

Key duties include supporting pupils with learning activities, assisting with EHCPs where needed, and contributing to a positive, well-organised setting. NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) is required.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent qualification or experience).

Responsibilities

• Learning Support: Deliver structured teaching programmes and assist the class teacher with learning activities, supporting individuals and small groups to achieve their goals.
• Monitoring & Assessment: Monitor and report on pupil progress and achievement, providing detailed feedback to the teacher and assisting with routine marking and record-keeping.
• Environment & Admin: Maintain an organised learning environment by managing resources, conducting clerical duties such as display work, and ensuring Health and Safety compliance.
• Pastoral & Behaviour: Support classroom management by promoting good behaviour and providing pastoral care, including the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for students with specific needs.
