Wickersley School and Sports College is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our supportive classroom team. You will assist the class teacher, help deliver engaging lessons, organise resources, and ensure a safe learning environment to help students reach their goals.
The role involves marking routine tests, supporting EHCPs, and providing pastoral care as part of a varied, proactive approach to student learning.

SALARY: WPT Band 3 £25583 - £25989 (Pro rata £20705 - £21034)
CONTRACT: Permanent
HOURS: 34 per week, term time only plus all inset days

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will be a vital part of the classroom team. Your role is to support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, ensuring that resources are ready and the environment is safe and organised. You will work directly with students—sometimes with the whole class, but often in small groups or one-to-one-to help them understand learning activities and reach their goals. From marking routine tests to supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), this is a varied role that blends academic support with pastoral care.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent qualification or experience).
