Job summary

The Oldham Academy North is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support students in achieving their potential. You will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support within an inclusive learning environment, helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

You will assist with individual education and behaviour plans, guide small groups, and contribute to a welcoming classroom. The role offers a structured pay scale and term-time hours.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• TA2 qualification or relevant experience supporting children in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of how children learn and the ability to motivate and engage pupils.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use ICT to support learning

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning activities for individuals and small groups of students.
• Promoting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
• Assisting with individual education and behaviour plans.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and wider academy staff.
• Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
