Job summary

Wickersley Partnership Trust is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join Clifton Community School in Rotherham. The role supports the class teacher, helps prepare resources, and assists students to reach learning goals, including EHCPs where needed.

You will work in a safe, organised environment, delivering structured activities in small groups or one-to-one, with a view to fostering academic and pastoral development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent qualification or experience).
• Experience supporting learning activities, including small groups or one-to-one.
• Ability to monitor pupil progress and assist with marking/record-keeping.
• Ability to manage resources and maintain a safe, organized learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Learning Support: Deliver structured teaching programmes and assist the class teacher with learning activities, supporting individuals and small groups to achieve their goals.
• Monitoring & Assessment: Monitor and report on pupil progress and achievement, providing detailed feedback to the teacher and assisting with routine marking and record-keeping.
• Environment & Admin: Maintain an organised learning environment by managing resources, conducting clerical duties such as display work, and ensuring Health and Safety compliance.
• Pastoral & Behaviour: Support classroom management by promoting good behaviour and providing pastoral care, including the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for students with specific needs.
