Job summary

Tonge Moor Primary Academy in Bolton is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to provide effective support for teaching, learning and administration. You will work with teachers to ensure all pupils access learning in a safe, inclusive environment and actively promote the school's values.

The role focuses on supporting SEND and EAL pupils, aiding with classroom prep, marking and feedback, and supervising pupils during breaks. Term-time only plus 5 days with a £12.76/hour rate.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils during learning activities.
• Ability to support SEND and EAL pupils and adapt strategies as needed.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
• Willingness to work with teachers to support learning and administration.

Responsibilities

• Support individual pupils and small groups during learning activities.
• Lead small group learning activities such as interventions and phonics.
• Help pupils understand instructions and remain engaged in lessons.
• Encourage independence and confidence in learning.
• Promote inclusion and positive pupil interactions.
• Support SEND and EAL pupils and adapt support plans as required.
• Assist with classroom resources, displays, and marking feedback.
• Record keeping and administration tasks as directed.
