Job summary

Rumworth School in Bolton is seeking a Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support students across KS3-5. You will work under the supervision of teaching staff to provide general classroom assistance and targeted support for pupils with SEND.

The post is for 32.5 hours per week during term time plus 5 days, with a pro-rata salary range from £21,865 to £24,103 for a 12-month appointment, and a full-time equivalent scale of £29,071 to £32,046. Closing date 5 November 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or above in maths and English (or equivalent).
• Experience with supporting pupils with SEND preferred.
• Good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills to be assessed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with general classroom tasks across KS3–KS5.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and resource preparation.
• Provide targeted support for students with SEND as directed by staff.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
