Job summary

Ince CE Primary and Nursery School in Ince, Wigan is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to provide 1:1 SEN support. The role is temporary until 31 July 2027, 31.25 hours per week during term time (38 weeks per year), with a Grade 3 salary of £18,028 per annum (£13.26 per hour).

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, embody Christian values, and support inclusion and positive behaviour, working one-to-one with pupils to remove barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Provide 1:1 SEN support to pupils with barriers to learning.
• Promote inclusion and positive behaviour in line with school policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist 1:1 SEN support to identified pupils.
• Promote inclusion and acceptance for all pupils.

Teaching Assistant Level 2 1:1 SEN Support Temporary Position (Subject to SEND funding and pupils in school)

The Governors and Headteacher of Ince CE Primary and Nursery School are seeking to employ temporary teaching assistant who will work 1:1 with SEN pupils, who embodies the Christian vision and values of our school.

Ince C of E Primary School is a large two form entry primary school in the heart of Ince.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Must hold a level 2 teaching assistant qualification

• To provide specialist support to students with barriers to learning on a one-to-one basis
• To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
• To establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their individual needs.
• To promote good behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
