Job summary

St Margaret Clitherow's Catholic Primary School in Middlesbrough is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in a friendly, inclusive environment. You will promote the Catholic ethos, work with a committed team and tailor support for children, including those with SEND or autism.

You will collaborate with teachers and therapists, adapt approaches to meet learning needs, and contribute to a safe, engaging classroom.

Salary: £25,583 pro rata (actual salary: £17,922)

Hours: 30 per week, Term Time Only plus 1 week

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teaching assistant to provide support for teaching and learning in our friendly and inclusive school.The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to promoting the well-being of the children in our care and to raising standards.

St Margaret Clitherow's Catholic Primary School is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, a family of 32 primary schools, and 6 secondary schools. With more than 12,300 pupils and 1,500 plus staff, the Trust is now one of the largest Catholic Multi Academy Trusts in the UK.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

7. Can use initiative to adapt approaches in order to support a child’s learning needs.
8. Will contribute towards creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
9. Can support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required.
10. Has the ability to form positive, professional and effective relationships with colleagues across school, other professionals and parents/carers.
