Job summary

The Grange Primary School is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support learning across key stages. The role includes 1:1 and small group work, implementing intervention programmes and phonics to help pupils reach their potential within a nurturing school community.

The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment, promote independence and self-esteem, and work calmly with children of varying needs while supporting staff and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in nurture and behaviour management in a primary school setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and motivate children, with a commitment to the school community.

• Can confidently cover for the class teacher when needed (paid at the appropriate rate)
• Can engage children in play and structured activities during playtimes and lunchtimes.
