We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team at Hurworth School. We are looking for a creative, adaptable, and reflective practitioner who uses the latest research to support all pupil groups.

Qualifications
  • Maths and English GCSE (4-9 / C-A* grade) - Essential
  • NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent childcare-related qualification - Essential
Skills and Experience/Knowledge
  • Recent work experience with children of relevant age in a teaching and learning environment - Essential
  • Experience of intervention delivery and planning - Essential
  • Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes - Essential
  • Experience working with children with Education, Health Care Plans - Essential
  • Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities, including the Teaching Assistant's role - Essential
Personal Attributes
  • High level of personal effectiveness, including organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines - Essential
  • Commitment to professional development and willingness to undertake training - Essential
  • Ability and confidence to assist pupils with basic numeracy and literacy in line with learning strategies and the national curriculum - Essential
