Job summary

Elm Tree Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 1 for Telford Junior School in a permanent role. The position is 31.25 hours per week, term-time only plus one week, with a starting salary on Point 4 (£18,815 per annum). Part-time patterns may be considered if full days are worked.

The role involves supporting pupils, working closely with teaching staff, and contributing to an inclusive, high-expectations school culture with strong CPD opportunities.

Job description

Teaching Assistant Level 1

Permanent Role
31.25 hours per week (or Part time considered for the right candidate*)
Term-Time Only + 1 week (39 weeks)
Salary Band D, Points 4-5
(Starting on Point 4 – actual salary starting at £18,815 per annum)

*Part-time working patterns may be considered, provided these are made up of full days (8:45am to 3:30pm).

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our excellent team at Telford Junior School, supporting pupils within our nurturing and inclusive primary environment.

Working closely with teaching staff, you will help children access a broad and engaging curriculum while supporting their academic and pastoral development.

The successful candidate will be a flexible and reliable team player with strong communication skills, a calm and patient approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
