Rochdale Borough Council is seeking two Level 1 Teaching Assistants to join Harwood Park Primary School. The posts are permanent, 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, with a salary of £19,266–£19,568.

Successful applicants will have recent primary school experience, provide 1:1 support for children with special educational needs, and lead targeted interventions. Strong literacy, numeracy and safeguarding knowledge are essential.

The Governors are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic, highly motivated and hard-working Level 1 Teaching Assistants to join the caring and friendly staff at Harwood Park Primary School. The successful applicants should have the ability to communicate at all levels and be able to work as part of a team. This role may also include working closely with other children who may have additional needs as well as general classroom tasks.

The successful candidate will:

• Have some recent experience in a primary school
• Have some experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and provide 1 to 1 support for children with specific needs as and when required
• Have some experience leading interventions with specific groups of children
• Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Have high expectations of children's achievements
• Be reliable and enthusiastic
• Be highly organised
• Have vision, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour
• Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and safer working practices
