Hours: Monday toWednesday, 8:30am to 3:15pm (We are open to discussing alternative schedules for the right candidate)
Responsible to: Headteacherand Class Teacher
Purpose ofthe Role: To work withteachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specificassistance to staff, pupils and individual pupils under the direction, guidance and directsupervision of classroom teacher.
Responsibilities:
Work with individualsor small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff and provide feedback to the teacher.
Lead focusedintervention sessions to reinforce key concepts.
Support pupils tounderstand instructions support independent learning and inclusion of allpupils.
Observe pupils duringtasks, record their understanding and sticking points, and offer real-timefeedback during lessons.
Support the teacher inpositive behaviour management and keeping pupils on task.
Support pupils insocial and emotional well-being.
Prepare and helporganise the learning environment and resources, including photocopying, filingand the display and presentation of pupils' work and contribute to maintaininga safe environment.
