Job summary

Bedford Hall Methodist Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join a committed team within a welcoming community.

The role requires a L2 qualification or equivalent and recent experience in primary education, including support for children with SEND. You will work under the guidance of the teaching staff to provide effective support, build relationships with families and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Recent experience of working within primary education.
• Knowledge and understanding of working with children with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interaction skills to provide effective support.
• Maintain high expectations coupled with empathy and care.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in and out of class as required, including 1:1 support.
• Assist the class teacher with planned activities and supervision.
• Build strong, professional relationships with parents, carers and professionals.
• Contribute to a calm, safe and stimulating learning environment.
