Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Kettering is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a local school from September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, assisting teachers, and helping pupils with SEN or learning needs in a positive, inclusive environment.

The ideal candidate is patient, caring and a strong communicator who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Previous school experience is desirable but not essential, and Tradewind provides ongoing

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils engage with their learning and reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Providing additional support to pupils who may have SEN or additional learning needs.
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils with their confidence, engagement and independence.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and following school behaviour policies.
• Building strong and positive relationships with pupils.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff.
• Supporting pupils both academically and pastorally where required.
