Job summary

Finstall First School seeks a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for term-time, 22 hours 30 minutes weekly, across five mornings. You will provide one-to-one support for a pupil with cognition and learning needs under an EHCP and help the pupil engage with lessons to grow independence.

You will work with parents, carers, staff, and other professionals, including 1hr40m daily lunchtime support, and participate in INSET days, to support learning and development in a well‑resourced school environment.

Job description

A Level 2 Teaching Assistant post at Finstall First School, a maintained school run by Worcestershire County Council. Most of the work is one-to-one support for a pupil with cognition and learning needs and an EHCP, helping the child engage with lessons and grow more independent. The term-time role is 22 hours 30 minutes a week over five mornings, including 1 hour 40 minutes of lunchtime support daily. It is fixed term, lasting as long as the EHCP-funded support is needed, and requires an enhanced DBS check.
