Job summary

Ilsington Church of England Primary School is seeking a fixed-term support assistant to work with a Key Stage 2 pupil with special educational needs. The role focuses on sensitive, one-to-one support during three school days per week in term time.

Applicants should have GCSEs in literacy and numeracy and a commitment to safeguarding. The post does not offer visa sponsorship and requires a collaborative, patient approach with children, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Give specific support to a KS2 pupil with special educational needs, funded through an EHCP.
• Provide one-to-one support three days a week during term time (Mon, Wed and Thu preferred).
• Assist with safeguarding and liaise with staff and parents to support the pupil's needs.
