Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Sheffield is seeking Teaching Assistants for day-to-day supply, long-term placements and permanent opportunities across primary and secondary schools. Roles offer flexible scheduling and weekly PAYE pay with long-term roles paid to scale where applicable; rewarding work helping pupils reach their potential in inclusive settings.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children, DBS checks, and Right to Work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in education settings is desirable.
• Positive, patient and proactive approach to support learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Right to Work in the UK and willingness to undergo safeguarding checks.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support or interventions.
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence and engagement with learning.
• Assisting with classroom organisation and learning resources.
• Supporting positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
