Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking SEND Teaching Assistants for long-term, full and part-time roles in Chesterfield, supporting pupils in a welcoming primary school setting within the FHT Multi Academy Trust. This is a great opportunity to contribute to an inclusive classroom environment.

Roles start ASAP, offering 32.5 hours per week during term time with ongoing placements and potential extension. A DBS check and right to work in the UK are required or willing to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a classroom environment.
• Calm, patient and supportive approach with pupils.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proof of right to work in the UK and DBS check (or willing to apply).
• Experience with pupils with additional needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND in the classroom and activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver targeted learning support.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive engagement.
• Adapt resources to meet individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning.
• Communicate effectively with staff and follow school policies.
