Job summary

Ravenor Primary School in Greater London seeks a proactive teaching assistant to support pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will assist in delivering targeted interventions and help pupils with SEND while promoting safeguarding and a positive learning environment.

The role requires teamwork, strong English, and basic ICT skills, with training and development opportunities. You will work closely with teachers to monitor progress and extend learning through open-ended questions.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience of working in EYFS in a primary school within the last 3 years (essential).
• Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to work positively as part of a team.
• Good standard of spoken and written English.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills (to be tested at interview).
• Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils’ progress (to be tested at interview).
• Able to use basic ICT including computer, audio, video equipment and photocopier.
• Good keyboard skills and knowledge of ICT packages.
• Understanding of how to extend children’s learning through open-ended questions (essential).
• Knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and legislation.
