Leigh Academy Tree Tops has a fantastic opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our highly collaborative and supportive team. Our Teaching Assistants are pivotal to our success in the classroom and provide significant support for our teachers. Therefore, our successful candidate will be able to establish strong working relationships with staff and students alike.

Leigh Academy Tree Tops is seeking someone who:

1. is dedicated to the job and prioritises the needs of the children in their care.
2. has experience working with primary-aged children, preferably with children who have additional needs.
3. is prepared to support children with their personal care.
4. is resilient and solution-focused.

The successful candidate will need relevant experience and/or qualifications in working with primary-aged children. High standards of spoken and written English and Mathematics are essential. Effective communication skills with children and adults, along with a friendly and approachable manner, are required. Our new Teaching Assistants should be able to work using their own initiative and demonstrate effective behaviour management skills. In return, they will join a supportive environment with many development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.

This role offers an actual salary of £14,182 per annum (£24,404 full-time equivalent), based on 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30), during Term Time plus 1 week of inset.
