Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work full-time across welcoming primary schools in Durham. You will support pupils with learning, development and wellbeing, providing 1:1 and small-group support to build confidence and independence.

Join a caring team, follow safeguarding procedures and participate in free CPD and training, including Safeguarding and SEND. Milk Education offers fast-track registration and 24/7 consultant support for successful applicants.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education or a related subject is preferred.
  • Caring, patient and positive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enthusiasm for helping children succeed.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and stay calm and supportive.

Responsibilities

Milk Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work full-time across welcoming primary schools in Durham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build strong relationships with pupils, support their learning and become a valued and consistent member of a school team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll provide targeted support through 1:1 and small-group work, helping children build confidence, develop independence and get the most from their education.

Your Role
  • Support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing

  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
  • Help pupils develop communication and social skills

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is desirable
