Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to join primary schools across North Durham. Immediate start and in-person roles, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 15:30pm.

Ideally Level 2 or 3 qualified, or equivalent hands-on experience, you will support pupils 1:1 or in small groups while promoting safe, confidential practice and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting children's learning.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred).

Immediate Start | North Durham
Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 15:30pm | £107.71 daily rate

We are currently hiring Teaching Assistants to join Primary Schools based across North Durham. Whether you have a plethora of experience or you're just starting your career in Education, this could be the opportunity for you!

Teaching Assistant: Main Responsibilities:
  • Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
  • Supporting learners by providing one-to-one or small group assistance
  • Inspire children to engage in lessons consistently
  • Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies

The role of a Teaching Assistant is one which is incredibly rewarding. The forefront of your responsibility will lie in small group and 1:1 work, providing additional support for those who need it.

Teaching Assistant: Requirements or Skills:
