Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking passionate Teaching Assistants to support schools across Darlington and surrounding areas. The role focuses on building relationships with pupils, supporting learning, managing challenging behaviours, and making a real impact on a child’s education.

Experience in SEN/SEMH or additional learning needs is valued, but qualifications are not essential. We welcome candidates with practical experience and a positive attitude who can hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting pupils across a range of abilities.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Flexibility to work across local primary and secondary settings.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities in the classroom.
• Assist with pupil supervision and behavioural support.

Do you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, an NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or another relevant education-based qualification?

However, qualifications aren't essential. We're equally interested in candidates who have strong practical experience, a positive attitude and the ability to make a real difference in the classroom.
