Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Bury to support a pupil with multiple needs from arrival to home time. You will provide dedicated 1:1 care, help the pupil feel safe and part of school life, and work closely with teachers and families.

This role suits patient, compassionate candidates with a calm approach and a willingness to engage with CPD and progression in SEN or teaching. Immediate start and supportive team.

Qualifications

• Able to provide 1:1 support and adapt to pupil needs.
• Experience in roles like TA, LSA, care, youth work or volunteering is advantageous.
• Background in psychology, education, childcare or health and social care is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Build a trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Support routines, communication and emotional wellbeing.

Pay: 470 to 570 per week

A primary school in Bury is looking for a caring SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with multiple additional needs throughout their school day. This is a nurturing, care-focused role for someone who wants to build a trusting relationship with a child who needs consistency and kindness.

The Role

You will be the pupil's dedicated 1:1 support from arrival to home time, helping them feel safe, settled and able to take part in school life.

• Provide 1:1 support throughout the whole school day
• Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil
• Support routines, communication and emotional wellbeing
• Help the pupil access learning at their own pace
• Follow care plans, working closely with teachers, the SENCO and families
• Celebrate small steps of progress
