Teaching Personnel is excited to support a respected school in Bedford in recruiting a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges. You will help students engage with the curriculum, build important skills, and work closely with staff to ensure their progress.
Provide personalised support to students with SEN, individually and in small groups
Adapt and prepare learning resources to meet students’ needs
Support personal care routines and encourage positive behaviour where needed
Collaborate with teachers and the SENCo to monitor and support student development
Experience working with children, preferably those with SEN
Good knowledge of different SEN conditions and practical support methods
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certifications are beneficial but not essential
