Clarence Recruitment is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) for an immediate start at a thriving Leicester City secondary school. You will support students inside and outside the classroom, working closely with teaching staff to ensure every learner stays engaged and reaches their potential in a supportive learning environment.

The position is full-time, term-time only, with ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience supporting children or young people within a school environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, flexible, and proactive approach.
• Confidence supporting learners with a variety of educational needs.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting student achievement.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support students across a range of subject areas and year groups
• Deliver focused intervention sessions to small groups and individual pupils
• Assist students with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote engagement in lessons
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, pastoral teams, and parents where appropriate
• Provide classroom support that enables students to achieve their academic and personal goals

Pay: 95 - 140 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
