- Contract type:Term-Time only, 35 hours per week. The working hours are 08:15-15:45
- Scale:Grade 3, Points 5 (£26,427 FTE), which equates to a pro rata salaryof £22,149.
This is a great opportunity to comeand work in our highly rated secondary school in central Manchester. To providecomprehensive support to the students' learning, wellbeing and inclusion,particularly those with SEND, delivering targeted interventions, monitoringprogress, assisting with classroom management, safeguarding, behaviour support,administrative tasks, and promoting students' independence while contributingpositively to the school community.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Experience and understanding ofsafeguarding and child protection issues, or be willing to undertake trainingin these areas;
- Numeracy and literacy skills atleast equivalent to RQF Level 2;
- Qualified to NVQ L2 TA orequivalent qualifications or experience; or willingness to obtain one;
- Ideally have the followingrelevant knowledge and/or experience:
- Significant classroom experience as a TeachingAssistant or similar role;
- Experience of working with students who haveSocial, Emotional and Mental Health needs;
- Ability to build positive and professionalrelationships with students and their parent(s)/carer(s);
- Experience and knowledge of working with andcontributing to the assessment, planning, production and review process ofEHCPs;
- High level administrativeskills and an excellent eye for detail;
- Willingness to drive mini busand access to own transport;
- Be professional, flexible andinnovative, with experience of undertaking a wide variety of duties and anability to deal skillfully with unanticipated situations;
- Excellent communication skillswith the ability to work well within a team, yet able to demonstrate an abilityto work unsupervised utilisingtheir own initiative;
- Well organised with anadaptable and positive approach to all aspects of the workload;
- Supportive of the school'sexcellent staff attendance and punctuality record, which in turn supportsstudent attainment.
Training willbe provided on safeguarding and school specific IT applications.
