lmpgroup is seeking applicants for a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Springwood Heath Primary School in Liverpool. The role supports pupils with diverse needs under the guidance of teaching staff, with a focus on safeguarding and inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths.
• DBS check required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to curriculum planning and evaluation while supporting delivery of teaching programmes.
• Assist in lessons and interact effectively with teachers and pupils.
• Adapt learning activities according to pupil needs and progress.
• Support use of ICT in learning and help pupils grow in confidence with technology.
• Provide individual and group support by explaining tasks and reinforcing concepts.

Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship- Springwood Heath Primary School

About the Role

The learner will be working toward the role of Additional Needs Support Assistant. This position involves supporting the class teacher, the Headteacher and the Governing Body in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties or autism. The role includes providing tailored support to help pupils overcome barriers linked to sensory, behavioural, communication, medical or physical needs. The learner will also assist other staff under the direction of the class teacher or learning support officer. A key part of the role is contributing to the safeguarding, wellbeing and personal care of children and young people across the school.

Apprenticeship Details

• Hours: Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.30pm 30 mins unpaid lunch break 32 hours per week
• Hourly Wage: £8 per hour (first 12 months), then National Minimum Wage
