Job summary

Queen Eleanor Primary Academy in Northampton is offering an Apprenticeship Teaching Assistant position. You will support pupils in learning, assist with classroom activities and gradually build confidence to deliver assistance to individuals and small groups.

You will work Monday to Friday during school hours, 32 hours per week, earning £8 per hour for the first 12 months, then transitioning to the National Minimum Wage.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths at grades 9-4 or A*-C.
• Enhanced DBS check required due to working with children.
• Training towards Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in classroom and activities under supervision.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and evaluation.
• Assist individuals and small groups with literacy, numeracy, and ICT.
• Promote inclusion, independence and pupil confidence.
• Observe and report pupil progress to the class teacher.
• Prepare classroom materials and resources for lessons.
