Job summary

Oasis Academy Leesbrook in Oldham is seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support pupils under the guidance of staff. The 16‑month apprenticeship leads to a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification with online/remote learning.

Salary starts at £8.58 per hour, increasing to National Minimum Wage after 12 months, with a 37.5 hour week. You will work in classrooms and provide pastoral and safeguarding support as part of the school team.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
• Positive attitude toward gaining further qualifications.
• Team player, reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in delivering learning activities and supporting pupils.
• Support pupils individually or in groups to access learning goals.
• Supervise and lead groups during lunchtime and classroom activities.
• Help implement school policies and contribute to a safe learning environment.
• Support observation, assessment and planning to promote pupil progress.
