Job summary

Hays Education is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a Secondary Alternative Provision in Walsall. You’ll support students on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups, helping SEMH and ADHD learners engage with learning.

This funded, long-term role requires patience, resilience and the ability to build trust with young people. You’ll act as a positive role model and promote inclusion, with weekly pay and dedicated support from a specialist recruiter.

This is a funded role supporting young people who may be struggling to access mainstream education due to social, emotional or behavioural barriers.The school isn't simply looking for someone to supervise students.They're looking for someone who can build trust, earn respect and help young people believe in themselves again.

The Opportunity

You’ll be supporting students who may have:

  • SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
  • ADHD
  • Attendance challenges
  • Gaps in learning and confidence
