Job summary

Roseacre Primary Academy in Blackpool is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our busy, inclusive school. You will work with experienced teachers, support reading, writing and numeracy, and help deliver engaging lessons in a lively classroom.

Daily duties include leading small groups, preparing resources, and promoting pupil wellbeing. The apprenticeship runs 35 hours per week with an hourly rate of £8, and you will train toward the Teaching Assistant Standard delivered

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (Grade A*-D or 9-3) or willingness to complete Functional Skills Level 1/2.
• GCSE English and Maths (minimum grade 4/C) required or willing to achieve before EPA Gateway.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and support reading, writing and numeracy.
• Lead small group activities or provide one-on-one support for pupils.
• Help prepare resources, set up activities and maintain a tidy learning environment.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our fast-paced and supportive team. As an apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced class teachers and support staff. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Supporting Learning: Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and helping children with their reading, writing, and numeracy.

Group Work: Leading small group activities or providing one-on-one support for pupils who need extra help.

Classroom Prep: Helping to prepare resources, set up activities, and maintain a vibrant and tidy learning environment.

Pupil Wellbeing: Promoting positive behaviour, supervising children during break times, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for all students.

Qualifications Required
