Job summary

Epsom Primary School, part of Bourne Education Trust, seeks a Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive team. The role supports teaching provisions, helps deliver learning, and works under the direction of the responsible Teacher to plan and intervene for pupils.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, 37 weeks per year; permanent contract. Salary PS3.3 £17,926 (£24,330 FTE). Benefits include LGPS, sick pay, CPD, HR and wellbeing support, family friendly policies, and Cycle to Work scheme.

Qualifications

• Supports teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupils.
• Facilitates learning of individuals and groups under guidance of the Teacher.
• Prepares, plans and delivers intervention programmes tailored to pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, support teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupils
• Under the guidance of the responsible Teacher, facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning
• Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and need
