Job summary

The Federation of Cowick and Pollington-Balne CE Primary Schools is seeking a caring, committed Teaching Assistant Level 1 to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a named child in our Reception class at Cowick CE Primary School. This is a fixed-term role, term-time pro rata, 16.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
• Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including supporting children who are neurodivergent, e.g. those with autism and ADHD
• Ability to support children’s learning, development and well-being.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A willingness to contribute positively to the life and values of the school.
• Experience of supporting children with speech, language and communication needs.
• Knowledge of strategies that support communication, emotional regulation and inclusion.

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis and will cease when the support is no longer required or when the named child leaves the school.
