Job summary

Salford Priors CofE Academy is seeking an inspirational 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil admitted with an EHCP from September 2026. The role offers a professional development culture and a strong support network within a Christian educational environment.

The position is fixed-term until August 2027, 27.5 hours per week, with eligibility to join the Pension Scheme. Salary ranges are £25,185–£25,583 FTE and £16,310–£16,572 actual depending on contract terms.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a pupil with an EHCP.
• Experience as a teaching assistant or similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil starting September 2026.
• Contribute to delivering educational excellence and the school’s Christian ethos.
• Contract until August 2027 with review before end of term.

1-1 TA required to provide additional support to a pupil admitted to Year 6 in September 2026. This pupil is admitted to school with an EHCP.

The position is to support a pupil(s) with an EHCP/additional need(s). The position is temporary/fixed term until August 2027. Review of needs will take place prior to the end of the contract term.
