Job summary

The Bishop's Church of England Primary Academy in England is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will support both teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. This post is part-time (32.5 hours per week, term time plus 1 week) with salary at pay points 6-7 (£19,552–£19,864 actual pa).

Apprenticeship routes are supported; visits to the school are welcome. Closing date 28 August 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar classroom support.
• Ability to work with teachers and pupils to create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with planning and delivering a range of classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to learners as required.
• Assist with classroom management and safeguarding in line with school policy.

We are looking for a caring, proactive and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will support both teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You’ll be patient, approachable, and able to assist with a range of classroom activities, ensuring all children feel supported and encouraged to do their best.
