Job summary

Desian Education are proud to be collaborating with a Winsford-based single form entry primary school to recruit an experienced teaching assistant for a full-time temporary position. The role is ideal for an immediate start or post-Christmas start for the right candidate, with a focus on supporting SEMH provision and pupil wellbeing.

You will join an SEMH resource class, working alongside the teacher and other TAs to place pupil needs at the heart of all activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEMH resource provision.
• Ability to support emotional development of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher and other teaching assistants to meet pupils' needs in the SEMH provision.
• Deliver engaging, trauma-informed activities to support pupil development.
• Monitor pupil progress and behaviour, reporting back to the supervising staff.

Ideally this school are looking for someone to start immediately, but they are willing to postpone the start date until after Christmas for the right individual.

This is an extremely rewarding opportunity where you will play an integral part in the education and emotional development of pupils within a dedicated SEMH resource provision.

Your new role:

As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an experience SEMH resource class, working in collaboration with the teacher and other teaching assistants to ensure that the needs of your pupils are at the heart of all operations. Unfortunately the pupils you will be supporting have had a difficult start to life and as such all have varying levels of SEMH and trauma. To support their emotional development you will take a nurturing and trauma-informed approach to all lesson and activity delivery to ensure positive outcomes and to build confidence. You will
