Job summary

Hirecracker Education in Winsford is partnering with primary schools to recruit a General Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support, including whole-class assistance, one-to-one support, and small group interventions.

This role offers valuable experience, access to training and professional development, and the chance to make a real difference in helping pupils in their education journey. The position is full-time and long-term with high temp-perm likelihood.

• Must possess good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Able to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Aid the class teacher in controlling classroom behaviour and ensuring that pupils remain on task.
• Assist the class teacher in planning engaging lessons and activities and implementing these into small-group and 1-1 support.
• Promote inclusion and support pupils with individual needs/capabilities and additional needs.
• Support pupils in SATS preparation and in their upcoming transition from primary to secondary education.

Salary: Daily pay rate between £110 and £115 paid weekly

What will you be doing:

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people in a school, sports, care, residential support, youth work, mental health, or community setting

• Must possess good literacy and numeracy skills
• The ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
