Cheadle Hulme School is seeking a committed and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our Learning & Support Department in the Senior School. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about inclusive education and dedicated to making a positive impact on young people with additional learning needs.
Working under the direction of the Head of Learning & Support and class teachers, you will provide tailored, 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them to access the curriculum and fulfil their potential both academically and personally.
We are looking for someone with a calm and empathetic manner, who is highly reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about supporting pupil wellbeing. Experience of working with children or young people, particularly in a school or support setting, is essential. A relevant Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above) is required, and a Level 3 qualification in learning support or SEND is desirable.
This is a fixed-term role, offered for the duration that external funding remains available.
The post is 35 hours per week, term time only, and will be paid on the Teaching Assistant pay scale (Points 1-7).
