Job summary

Winner Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in the Great Barr area. You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them reach their full potential in and out of the classroom.

Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references, including from their most recent employer. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Teaching Assistant in a UK secondary school.
• Passion for supporting young people in education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Winner Education are working with a secondary school in the Great Barr area who are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them to achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.

What You'll Do:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students where required

• Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence

• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school team

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK secondary school

• A passion for supporting young people in their education

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent behaviour management skills

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
