Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous school-based Teaching Assistant experience is essential.
• Minimum of 6 months in an education setting required.
• Experience with primary-aged children.
• SEND or 1:1 support experience especially beneficial.
• Confident supporting individuals, groups, and whole-class tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive and positive approach.
• Strong ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
• Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• References covering the last 24 months required.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom support across the primary age range, working both alongside the class teacher and with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis. You'll play an important part in creating a positive learning environment, helping pupils engage with their lessons, and supporting those with additional needs to make progress.

Location and Package

• Based in West Bromwich
• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday during school hours
• Contract role, with all pay rates via PAYE or Umbrella
