Job summary

Witherslack Group in England is seeking a nurturing Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism spectrum disorder and SEMH needs. You will help learners engage in lessons, build confidence and resilience, and work closely with teachers and therapists to plan activities.

If you’re patient, reliable and eager to develop a rewarding teaching career, you’ll receive full induction, ongoing training and a supportive team in a well-resourced school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a classroom setting.
• Ability to stay calm and patient with challenging behaviours.
• Team player who works with teachers and therapists.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH needs during lessons.
• Assist with learning activities and behaviour management.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and adapt resources.
• Encourage pupil engagement and self-esteem.
