Job summary

Integra Education North Ltd, trading as Let’s Educate, is recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEMH and SEND in Warrington. The role is full-time, temporary, term-time only, with ASAP start and pay of £110 per day.

You will mentor individuals or small groups, assist with lessons and activities, report on progress, and help create a positive learning environment within classrooms and during school trips.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Experience with SEMH/SEND pupils.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities (e.g., food hygiene, forest school, lunchtimes).
• Experience in behaviour management and positive behaviour strategies.
• Committed to ongoing professional development.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
• Level 2 TA qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Lets Educate are currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Warrington. This role involves supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, complex behaviours and special educational needs (SEND).

Role Responsibilities

• Dedicated to mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small groups
• Supporting the classroom teacher during lessons
• Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns and liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met
• Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips
• Assisting with classroom preparation
• Building positive relationships with your pupils and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Teaching Assistant
• Previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH or SEND within an educational setting
• Be experienced and confident enough to take additional responsibility in an area of school, e.g Food Hygiene, Forest School, lunchtimes etc.
• Experience of behaviour management and techniques
• Committed to professional development and willing to learn
• Enhanced DBS or willing to apply
• Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification is desired but not essential.
